ROWLANDS PHARMACY OPENS AT BIRCHWOOD PRACTICE: APRIL 13, 2010

The Birchwood Practice is proud to announce the opening of a branch of the well-known Rowlands Pharmacy at its Creekmoor Surgery.
The Pharmacy officially opens on Tuesday April 13, 2010, and will provide patients to the practice with an immediate access to prescriptions as well as over-the-counter medications, family planning aids and general advice.
As is part of the Birchwood Practice's continuing efforts to provide its patients with the very best service it marks a significant service partnership with a well-respected and established pharmacy chain.

HAVE A VERY CARING CHRISTMAS!
THE CARERS GROUP held their annual meeeting and Christmas Party at the Birchwood Practice on December 10.
Guests were serenaded with Christmas carols by a couple of fancily-dressed minstrels, and there was even an appearance by Father Christmas himself (or was that herself...).
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our patients and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all the doctors, nurses and staff at both The Birchwood Practice and the Oakdale Surgery.

AMENDMENT TO ORDERING OF REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS FROM 12 NOVEMBER 2008
Repeat prescriptions are printed from our computer and a tear off slip on the right hand side can be used for re-ordering.
This can be placed in the box at the reception desk, put through the letter box when the surgery is closed or posted to the surgery; if you would like your prescription posted back to you please enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
We can also accept requests by fax and email or you can register with EMIS Access, which is the on-line facility for ordering your repeat prescriptions.

CHANGES TO SURGERY SESSIONS FROM MONDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER 2008
This practice will be offering late evening and Saturday morning additional surgery sessions for pre-booked routine appointments only. To book these appointments, you must telephone the surgery between Monday – Friday during normal hours. During this time there will be no home visits.
The new sessions will be held at The Birchwood Medical Centre, Northmead Drive, Creekmoor for patients registered at both the Creekmoor and Oakdale surgeries at the following times:
Monday 18:30 – 20:30
Tuesday (alternate) 18:30 – 20.30
Saturday (alternate) 09:00 – 11:00
Urgent health problems will continue to be dealt with by the Out of Hours Service whose telephone number is:-
0845 600 1013.
